Outdoor trails and ski tracks in Muuratharju
Muuratharju is one of the most significant ridges in Central Finland and one of the Natura 2000 areas. The nature of Muuratharju can be enjoyed year-round using the varied network of trails and outdoor routes. The routes wind through different types of forests and lakeshore sceneries. They provide views overlooking both Lake Muuratjärvi and Lake Päijänne. Some of the routes are lit. In the winter, most of the outdoor routes are reserved for skiers. There is a lean-to and a place for a campfire next to Lake Muuratjärvi, between the cemetery and Hopeasannantie. Parking places are available near the sports field and at the start of Hopeasannantie.
